The Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) is jointly administered by the Japan Foundation and Japan Educational Exchanges and Services. In Japan, the test is organized by Japan Educational Exchanges and Services, while outside Japan it is administered by the Japan Foundation in cooperation with local institutions.

In Hungary, from 2026, the test will be administered by the Momiji Language School with the support of the Association of Japanese Language Teachers in Hungary (MJOT).
